Riggers Bend
This is a relatively recent bend devised in the USA.
- Make interlocking bights in the working ends of the two lines.
- Bring the end of one round to pass under its standing part.
- Continue with this end round beneath the loop of the second line.
- Thread the working end through its own loop to form an Overhand knot trapping the second line.
- Without tightening the first knot, follow the same pattern with the working end of the second line.
- Take the tip of the working end through the loop of the first knot.
- Then out through its own loop.
- Now work the knot tight to complete the bend.
