Well as a 60 year old, I have been putting it off while dieting, no sugar in coffee etc, & worried cos I smoke. But today was the day, and to top it all I had the first hayfever attack this year - a major kleenex job -
Absolutely no problems, that unrestricted certificate was the ultimate laxative :D . And I was complemented by the doc on the cleanliness inside my ears  !!!! he must have had some humdingers in the past then
So Thats me done Raleigh in September

You can find out what the requirements are for an ENG1 on the MCA website in MSN1765(M) Annex B MEDICAL AND EYESIGHT STANDARDS FOR SEAFARERS.

http://www.mcga.gov.uk/c4mca/mcga07-home/shipsandcargoes/mcga-shipsregsandguidance/marinenotices/mcga-mnotice.htm?textobjid=4D1DB2E9F4E9CEA2

Scroll down to Annex B for full details.

What does the ENG1 consist of? I know ben (icemanb28) was curious as well. Also are there any physical requirements that you need to meet ie fitness levels etc

Not that that is a problem, I have no health problems and cycle four times a week, just interested.. :)
