RFA Argus (A135) is the primary casualty receiving ship in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and also has the secondary role of aviation training ship for the Royal Navy.

RFA Black Rover (A273) was ordered in November 1971, launched on the 30th of October 1973 at Wallsend, and completed on the 23 of August 1974.
RFA Diligence first served with the RFA during the Falklands War as a civilian owned ship taken up from the trade. As MV Stena Inspector, the ship repaired many British vessels, and was purchased by the Government in 1983 and renamed RFA Diligence.
RFA Cardigan Bay (L3008) is one of the four amphibious assault vessels of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. Intended to replace the Sir boats, this ship design was based on the Dutch Rotterdam class ships.
RFA Fort Austin (A386) is a fleet stores ship of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
RFA Fort Austin was laid down at Scott Lithgow on 9th of December 1975, launched on the 9th March 1978 and commissioned on 11th May 1979.
In March of 1982 while returning from the Armilla patrol she was diverted to the Falklands with stores for HMS Endurance. On the 13th of April RFA Austin embarks a full Royal Navy surgical support team for the South Georgia task force.
RFA Fort George (A388) is a combined fleet stores ship and tanker of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
RFA Fort George was ordered from Swan Hunter on the 18th of December 1987. The ship was laid down on the 9th of March 1989, launched by the wife of the Commander-in-Chief Fleet Admiral Sir Jock Slater on the 1st of March 1991 and was commissioned in 1993. As with Fort Victoria, the ship received the Phalanx CIWS in a refit in 1999.

RFA Fort Victoria was laid down at Harland & Wollf in Belfast on the 15th September 1988. On the 6th of September 1990 a bomb placed in Fort Victoria’s engine room exploded causing minor damage but no casualties. She finally sailed for sea trials two years later than planned on the 29th June 1992.

RFA Gold Rover was ordered in 1971, and completed in March of 1974. With a maximum speed of 19 knots, these small fleet tankers are fitted with a flight deck but no hanger, as such she is only capable of refuelling embarked helicopters. The Rover boats have been the work horses of the RFA for the last few decades.
