    Riggers Bend

This is a relatively recent bend devised in the USA.

    1. Make interlocking bights in the working ends of the two lines.
      Riggers bend 1
    2. Bring the end of one round to pass under its standing part.
      Riggers bend 2
    3. Continue with this end round beneath the loop of the second line.
      Riggers bend 3
    4. Thread the working end through its own loop to form an Overhand knot trapping the second line.
      Riggers bend 4
    5. Without tightening the first knot, follow the same pattern with the working end of the second line.
      Riggers bend 5
    6. Take the tip of the working end through the loop of the first knot.
      Riggers bend 6
    7. Then out through its own loop.
      Riggers bend 7
    8. Now work the knot tight to complete the bend.
      Riggers bend 8
