Portuguese Bowline knot

The Portuguese bowline results is a secure double loop.

Make a small loop in the working end.

then bring the working end round to make a second, larger loop.

Pass the working end over the larger of the loops.

Thread the working end through the smaller loop from the back.

pass the working end behind the standing part

Thread the working end back to pass over the large loops and through the small loop.

Work the knot tight, while evening up the large loops so that the small loop grips the working end.
